Congratulations if you’re expecting! Right now is definitely a moment in your life where you feel completely overwhelmed with happiness and a bit of stress. If you are expecting a new little one, you may be stressing over all the things that you think you need to get for your baby. It certainly is not easy deciding if you really need something. I remember when I was working on my registry and I felt so lost. I mean, have you been to any baby store? When I went to Babies R Us to do my registry, I was completely overwhelmed. But this is why you are here! I want to help you so you do not need to stress over any of this. This is my ultimate nursery baby registry checklist packed with my favorite baby needs that you will not be able to live without for the nursery! The Ultimate Nursery Baby Registry Checklist
- Crib:
Here are some great choices I found: Dream On Me Chesapeake 5-In-1 Convertible Crib, Platinum and Navy, Graco Solano 4-in-1 Convertible Crib with Drawer, Espresso, Stork Craft Portofino 4-in-1 Fixed Side Convertible Crib and Changer, Espresso - Crib Mattress:
Here are some great choices I found: Safety 1st, Graco Premium Foam Crib and Toddler Bed Mattress, Sealy Baby Firm Rest Infant/Toddler Crib Mattress - Crib Mattress Pad (2):
Baby will sometimes leak out of his/her diaper in the middle of the night. It happens. Here is an affordable and highly rated crib pad. You will want two or three of these. - Changing Pad:
You definitely could purchase a changing table, however, we just ended up buying a cute dresser from IKEA and saved so much doing it this way. Then you can just place the changing pad right on the dresser. Here is an inexpensive one. - Changing Pad Cover (2):
Any changing pad cover will do to be completely honest, but I personally love the ones from Aden + Anais and Ely’s & Co. They are also budget friendly! - Bassinet, Moses basket, or Co-Sleeper:
Not all babies will sleep in their cribs right after coming home. It is becoming more popular where mothers are choosing bassinets or co-sleepers for the first few months. I actually did co-sleep and still do. It made is so much easier on nighttime feedings. Look too see what fits your style and budget. My favorite co-sleeper options are the DockATot, Snuggle Me, HALO Bassinest and the Fisher Price Rock ‘n Play. - Swaddle Blankets (5) & Sleep Sacks (2-3).
My absolute favorite are Aden + Anais swaddling cloths and I highly recommend the HALO Sleep Sack. If you want to get a nice and tight swaddle, get the flannel blankets. - Fitted Crib Sheets (2-3):
My absolute favorite are from Cuddly Cubs, Burt’s Bees, and Ely’s & Co. They’re super easy to wash! - Hamper:
Honestly, you will only need one hamper. This hamper from Sea Team is super affordable and waterproof! - Diaper Pail:
You really do not have to get a diaper pail for your room/nursery. But I do know that some people can just not handle the smell. I love the Diaper Genie.
Clothing
- WARNING WARNING!: I would not register for baby clothes. I made that mistake and wish I did not because I wasted so much time on clothes when so many of your friends and family members will get you clothes. If there are any specific outfits that you most definitely want, add them to the registry.
There it is! My ULTIMATE Baby Nursery Registry Checklist. Please do not hesitate to let me know if I may have missed anything and I will make sure to add it. Look out for my next post!

Mary from Mission to Save says
Yes, loved Halo sleep sacks with all 3 of my kiddos! And if you have twins, My Breast Friend (yep that’s the name) is a must for breastfeeding pillow! A college friend who also had twins gave me hers and it was a lifesaver.
Great list!
